thriller analysis

The opening sequence that i have chosen is Terminator 1.

The sequence starts with a slow pasted Sci-fi tune with blue

futuristic lines passing across the screen. I then starts introducing

the characters stars. The are introduced with a futuristic green

typing font. After the characters are mentioned it changes to all

the other people involved in making the film. The music's tempo

increases with the more people that is mentioned. This opening

looks as if it could be a conveyer belt with the blue lines and the

music. By the end the video the blue lines turn into the word

"TERMINATOR". This is like a conveyer belt's finished product.

story board for our continuity exercise

when we began filming for or continuity exercise we used our story board as much as we could so that all the shots appeared as they did in the story board. in or group of 5 we all shard the time spent on drawing the story board.

james bond opening title

this is the opening title for the james bond film casino royale. it begins with the main actor daniel crag shoting a bullet into what seems to be the barrel of another gun, this gives you the idea that he has just been in a fight with another man. Still with the shot of the barrel blood starts to poor down the screen, but in this scene the blood that poors down looks very unreal and cartoonish. When the screen is fully red the 1st title name comes up on the screen, a few seconds later hearts start to shoot on to screen. the hearts appear in the same style as hearts from a playing card. Whilst this is happening more names are appearing on screen, then more symbols from playing cards appear. it then cuts to a shot of daniel craig sat down on a pattern. the shot of craig is in black and white whilst the rest of the screen is in color.

treatment

Treatment

At the beginning of our movie we start with a black screen that fades slowly into the 1st shot our heros head. The 1st shot is a low angled camera angle that is zoomed in on what appears to be a a mans big heavy brown boots. The boots seem to be getting dragged along very slowly giving you the impression who ever is wearing the boots is hurt or is injured. There is then an extreme close up on the laces and toe of the boots when you see a drop of blood land on the she. This now shows that the person wearing these boots is definitely injured and bleeding. The camera then zooms out to see a mid-shot of the mans feet and legs still not revealing his face. Behind the man you can see that there a lot of trees and there are leafs falling all around showing that the man is in a woods. The background is also slightly blue and misty, this shows the viewer that the weather is cold and slightly bleak. The camera then pans behind the man showing where he has walked from and there are lots of trees all around and just in the distance you can see a very slight figure of a house with smoke coming out of the chimney. There does seem to be a track to where the man has walked from but doesn't seem to be anything there apart from the trees and the house. The camera then pans back to the man to show a close up of his face, he seems to be very sweaty and hot and there seems to be a look of worry in his eyes. This makes the viewer wonder what this man has done and has he anything to do with the house in the background. The man appears to have a large cut just above his eye. There is then a mid-shot of the man turning around. And you see the same shot before of the trees and the house but this time there seems to be a man there in a dark hood with black trousers the rest of the mans face is covered up by some sort of scarf but you can make out his eyes. You then see an over the shoulder shot of the man in the dark hood looking down the woods towards the other man, still with an over the shoulder shot you just see the man turn around and go to run away from him. There is then another mid-shot of the mans legs and feet running away and the music starts to slowly creep in. The music is a low humming noise with a drum bat in the background with the tempo slowly getting faster and faster. In the background you can still slightly hear the rustling of leafs and deep breathing. There is then a shot of the man running towards the camera when he trips up on what seems to be a log. You then see another over the shoulder shot of the man in the dark jumper but this time he is looking down at the man looking face upwards on the floor. The music then stops dead. You hear the man saying no and begging him. There is then a shot of the woods and all you hear is a loud scream then screen gos black.

josh vannis treatment

Hannah was walking home from a night out alone because she has no friends(Long shot pan. She has no friends because she wont be missed). As she starts to walk down the high street she takes a short cut down a back road(mid shot). After walking for a couple of minutes (close up, the camera moves slightly to the right and the viewer sees a dark figure be hide her. Then it moves back to a close up) she hears a noise. When she turns around she sees nothing (Long shot) . She starts to panic. She speeds up(close up of her feet) and walks down an alley(mid shot). She quickly dashes behind the corner(mid shot to close up). She sees a dark figure walk passed(first person). She's relieved(, but she hears some one els coming. Its just a group of people of walking passed so she starts to ring her mum to come pick her up. But as she turns around the screen goes black.

Hannah wakes up in a dungeon scared and confused(close up). She struggles to sit up(close up to a mid shot). she sees some stairs behind her(over the shoulder shot). She makes her way over to them. She pulls her way to the top to find the door is locked(high shot). As she comes back down to the room(low shot) she heres a noise. She says "Hello?"(close up). Cuts to the credits(scroll on).
